What we collect

Account: your email address and name from Sign in with Apple, Google or email.

Profile: what you tell us so advice fits you: birth year, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal, allergies, health conditions and diet preferences.

Food you check: photos, barcodes and text you send for analysis.

How we use it

Only to run Food Check: to read your food, to judge it against your profile, and to make your plan, recipes and answers.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use it for advertising.

Where it is kept

Your profile is stored with your account in Google Firebase so it follows you to a new phone. Your food diary, scan history and photos stay on your device.

Photos and text you analyse pass through our server to Google’s Gemini AI to be read, and are not kept on our server.

Apple Health

If you allow it, Food Check reads steps, active energy, weight and workouts, and writes the meals, weight and workouts you log.

Health data stays on your device. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone. Only a weight you choose to save in your profile is stored with your account.

Services we use

Google Firebase (sign-in and profile storage), Cloudflare (our server), Google Gemini (food analysis), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions). Each only gets what it needs for its job.

Your choices

You can change your profile at any time, and delete your account and its data in the app under Me → Delete account. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.

Children

Food Check is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Not medical advice

Food Check gives general guidance. It is not a doctor or a dietitian; for medical conditions and allergies, ask a professional and always read the label.
